Mindy started out as a High School Physical Education teacher. Following the birth of her first two children, she spent more than 12 years coaching families through childbirth as a Labour Doula and Childbirth Educator. After the arrival of her last two children, she began a ‘return to fitness’ journey. A year and a half into this journey she suffered a major setback. A freak accident during an obstacle course race left her with torn quads, shredded hamstrings and permanent damage to her IT band. Her determination to come back lead to lots of research on injury recovery and strength training as a mean of compensating and moving past the damage.
She has gone on to run half marathons and returned to playing soccer. Now, as a personal trainer she will use her collective experiences to help other people meet their fitness goals.
